Everything You Need to Know About Voting in the 2020 Election

Check Your Voter Registration Status

Are you actually registered to vote? If you’re unsure, it’s very important to check. The last thing you want is to show up at the polls and not be eligible to vote. Voting is your right! You can easily check on your voting status online and then proceed to the registration process. It’ll only take a few minutes of your time, and it’s one of the most important things you can do this year. Keep in mind, this election will be a historical one, so why not use your voice? Check your voter registration status here.

Pledge to Vote

The next step is for you to actually make a pledge to vote. Pledge that you’ll actually head out and vote on Election Day, whether it be local or primary elections. Using your voice has never been more important. I can’t stress it enough! You shouldn’t put in the effort towards registering if you’re not actually going to vote. Pledge to vote here.

Find Your Polling Place

Not sure where your polling place? It’s super easy to find out. I know, you’ve probably seen a ton of polling locations in the past or have been to several different ones in the past. You don’t want to waste your time and show up at the wrong spot, face longer lines, and make the voting experience more hectic than it needs to be. Find your polling place here.

Sign Up for Local Election Reminders

Trust me, I know it can be hard to keep up with every single election, especially the local ones. However, the local elections are just as important, if not more. These elections affect you directly in your neighborhood, and the last thing you want is to be unhappy with the way things are going near your own home. Get involved, and make sure to use your right vote locally too. Sign up for local election reminders here.

Follow These Accounts on Social Media

Let’s face it, we all spend a lot of time scrolling on Instagram. So why not follow organizations that post informative updates! Here are some of my favorites:
